Dragons forward Jesse Macleod (pictured) led the way with a 24-point, 13-rebound double-double as our Youth League Men rallied in the final quarter to turn back Coburg in their Big V clash at Boroondara Sports Complex on Saturday night.
Matt Marcun added 14 points and seven boards in the 77-73 win. Next up for our Youth League Men (6-3) is a 12pm Sunday road date with second-placed Ringwood (7-2) at The Rings.
In other Dragons Big V action last night:
• Coburg finished with a big second half to beat our Youth League Women 76-64 at BSC. Sophie Jones led the Dragons with a 22-point, 14-rebound double, Jessica Del Brocco added 19 points and three steals, and Zoe Johnson dominated the glass to finish with 25 boards.
• And our Championship Men had a tough night on the road against league leader McKinnon. The Cougars won its 100-85. Mike Reeves closed with 15 points and six rebounds to pace the Dragons and Ben Crowe added 15 points. The Champ Men are in action again today at Wyndham, with that one getting under way at 2pm.
