Over the past 28 years, Camberwell Basketball has grown from a small family club
into a vibrant, progressive and inclusive Association that provides opportunities for
all abilities from Aussie Hoops through to Big V competition.
To provide an extraordinary basketball program inclusive of all within our community, filled with opportunities in an environment that inspires our members to strive for and become the very best they can be, built around values of passion, courage, unity and respect.
We stand fast on “building, not buying success”, with decades of volunteers focused on building skills in our young people, on and off the court, and providing them with pathways to grow and develop as individuals, players, coaches and officials.
Ask any past or present player, and they will share how we focus on creating a safe, positive, disciplined and controlled environment where we showcase the ethos behind the creation of basketball.
Every year, Camberwell Dragons recognise the special achievements and outstanding contributions of our players, coaches, referees and volunteers. They include the following three volunteer awards:
Julian Fields Award – This award recognises an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the Dragons Senior (Big V) Program.
Dale & Doug Helms Award – This award recognises an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the Dragons Junior (VJBL) Program.
Gary Stephens Award – This award recognises an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to Camberwell Dragons as a whole.
