CAMBERWELL BASKETBALL

Ford Aussie Hoops

Basketball Australia’s official program provides a fun and inclusive experience for
4–10-year-olds and an introduction to what we hope will be a lifelong involvement in the game. Ford Aussie Hoops promotes healthy and active lifestyles and serves as a platform for social development and inclusion – fostering stronger and more vibrant communities and individuals. Register for one of our Term 2, 2026 programs below. Camberwell Basketball's Aussie Hoops program is proudly supported by Courtney & Patterson Ford.

What is Ford Aussie Hoops?

Ford Aussie Hoops was designed in three staged programs to ensure participants in each group engage in activities and games relevant to their physical and mental capabilities. Activities and games will increase in competitiveness until participants are ready to transition into local club competitions. To learn more about the Ford Aussie Hoops program, click  HERE.

Our Program

Camberwell Basketball is a recognised hub within the Ford Aussie Hoops network, with our dedicated coaches helping children develop their skills while ensuring they gain maximum enjoyment from the program.

Our programs are offered throughout all four school terms, with registrations opening at the end of each term for the upcoming one.

We recommend players complete at least two terms in our Ford Aussie Hoops program before joining a team in the local Community Basketball League (CBL), which is also run by Camberwell Basketball. The CBL runs two seasons each year – Winter (Terms 2 and 3) and Summer (Terms 4 and 1) – and children can begin playing in the CBL’s Under 8 competition from six years of age. For more details, visit the CBL page HERE.
