Walking Basketball is a low-impact, social and fun way to improve levels of physical activity for inactive and slightly inactive individuals, including those recovering from injury. Our program is free for participants of all ages, genders and abilities. And even better, it doesn't matter if you haven't played our great game before. Our 2025 program includes a new Tuesday session at Ashburton Pool and Recreation Centre, starting in Term 2, and our regular Wednesday session at Boroondara Sports Complex.

Walking Basketball is a low-impact, social and fun way to improve the levels of physical activity for inactive and slightly active individuals, including those recovering from injury, and is for participants of all ages and abilities. It provides health benefits to all who participate, including those who might be intimidated by the pace and impact of a traditional basketball game but love the slower more social version of Walking Basketball. And the good news is it doesn’t matter if you haven’t played our great game before.
