Camberwell Basketball provides opportunities for all athletes to reach their full potential and to compete at the highest possible level. Our basketball program, including our Dragons Development Squad, enables players to practise and improve their skills with our coaches and to contribute to a strong sense of team and sporting community.
Developing our junior players is integral to Camberwell Dragons’ success.
We understand the importance of developing our players early and giving them the opportunity to learn from a range of coaches within the club. Our Term 4 Dragons Development Squad runs Tuesdays (girls) and Wednesdays (boys). It is open to players born 2015-17 who’ve played domestic basketball and are looking to improve their skills and get a taste of “representative basketball-style” training. This program is not suitable for beginners.

Our Under 12 and Under 14 Dragons players are offered the opportunity to attend a Camberwell Development Program with their teammates and coach. For older age groups, the development program allows for individual registration. For players to improve their game, additional work is required away from their Friday night game and team practice sessions. This program allows players to do just that.
