The Victorian Junior Basketball League (VJBL) will roll out a new-look competition framework for the 2025-26 season, with the key change being the introduction of the Regional League (RL) to replace the Regional Development League (RDL).
What is the Regional League?
The Regional League becomes the third tier of VJBL competition, sitting below Victorian Championship (VC) and VJL.
• Under 12 Boys and Girls: Teams will grade into VC, VJL 1-5 or Regional League.
• Under 14 Boys and Girls: Teams will grade into VC, VJL 1-8 or Regional League.
• Under 16 Boys and Girls: Teams will grade into VC or VJL 1-5 and below.
• Under 18 Boys and Girls: Teams will grade into VC or VJL 1-5 and below.
