Camberwell Basketball's inaugural Mental Health Awareness Week continues on Thursday night (April 30) with two outstanding guest speakers at Balwyn Community Centre.

Two-time National Basketball League champion Andrew Parkinson and world-class Disability Extreme Athlete Bobby Bajram will present at the second event of a week in which the Association is shining a light on an important issue that touches the lives of so many families in our community.

About Andrew Parkinson

Years after his retirement, Andrew is still recognised as one of the most lethal three-point shooters in NBL history. He'll reflect on the highs and lows of his decorated career, his battle with cancer and the importance of connection, resilience and community.

About Bobby Bajram

Bobby is a world-class extreme athlete who has lived with multiple sclerosis for more than 40 years. Diagnosed when he was just 13 years old, he has gone on to scale some of the world's highest mountains and is now training to climb Mount Everest in 2027. His presentation will explore purpose, resilience, positivity through adversity and his mission to "walk to the top of the world and see the blue sky".

For guests attending Thursday night's session, please note the following parking information:

• Please note on-site parking will be limited due to classes running in the main building at the same time. Participants can park on Whitehorse Rd city-bound, which is not a clearway after 9am, or in the streets surrounding the centre – Northcote Ave, Como Ave, or Clyde Street. Tram Route 109, Stop 49 is the closest to the centre.
