Fraser takes charge – Camberwell Basketball

Campbell Fraser will lead the Camberwell Dragons Under 20 Women’s program in 2027, the club announced today.

Campbell brings a wealth of experience to the role, with his body of work including senior head coaching positions with McKinnon Big V women’s teams and assistant coach roles at Waverley and Nunawading. He also led junior and senior Australian teams at the Maccabiah Games in Israel.

A two-time Big V Coach of the Year, Campbell is also an accomplished and well-known referee. He’s worked more than 400 games across the NBL1 (110 games) and Big V (318 games) competitions and is a five-time winner of the Big V’s Referee of the Year award.

He takes charge of our Under 20 Women at an exciting time for the Dragons and will work closely with VBL coaches Mark Jeffers and Paris Joannides as the club continues to strengthen the pathway between its junior and senior programs. Mark is back for his second season as head coach of our Senior Women, while Paris will lead our Youth League Women again.

The Dragons will host Under 20 women’s team tryouts on Sunday, October 11 and Tuesday, October 13.
