Our Youth League Men continued their impressive start to the Big V season with a crushing 86-59 road win against the Bendigo Braves at Red Energy Arena on Saturday night.

Will Sinclair led the way with a game-high 18 points in 12 minutes and Owen Ireland finished with 10 points, seven rebounds, two steals and two blocks for the Dragons, who seized control with a 30-14 second quarter and never looked back on the way to their fourth win from five games.

Adriano Mandarino added 10 points as coach Fraser Kennedy shared the minutes around on a night that 11 Dragons logged 11 minutes or more. Camberwell (4-1) shot the ball at just over 53 per cent from the field (10-of-20 from the three-point line) and closed Round 4 in second place behind unbeaten Sunbury (5-0).

Next up for the YLM is a Saturday date with Westgate at Boroondara Sports Complex next weekend (April 18, 5pm).

In other Dragons Big V results over the weekend:

– Ayuel Ayuel (main picture) had 15 points, five rebounds, four assists and two blocks and Brennen Burns (below) signed off with a game-high 19 points, but our Championship Men couldn't keep up with Pakenham in the second half at BSC on Saturday night. The Warriors turned a four-point lead at half-time into a 12-point break at the end of three and then pulled away for a 90-71 win. Luke Liesegang added 17 points, seven rebounds and three steals for the Dragons, who connected on just 3-of-18 three-point attempts. Camberwell hosts Warrandyte at BSC on Saturday night (7pm).

– Eleni Valos finished with a team-high 11 points, four rebounds and three steals in a 74-33 road loss for our Division 1 Women (1-2) against Melbourne University. The Dragons will host Craigieburn at Balwyn High School on Sunday (2pm).

– And our Youth League Women dropped to 3-3 overall after a 67-65 overtime loss on the road against Bendigo on Saturday night. Dragons guard Jessica Del Brocco led all scorers with 19 points and added six rebounds, six steals and three blocks, while Tilly Quartel registered a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double. The YLW will also enjoy the comforts of home this weekend – they'll play Frankston in the early game of Sunday's double-header at Balwyn High (12pm).
