Coach's Award – Maeve Gray
"Coaches' awards get a bad rap. This is an award for one of the most coachable players I have ever come across. Always seeking and receptive to feedback, always working on her game, always wanting to support and encourage her teammates. Congratulations on a fantastic season and it has been a privilege to be a small part of your basketball journey."

– Words by Coach Mark Jeffers

16.2 Girls

Most Valuable Player – Myla Codrington
"Myla has been a valuable contributor and committed member of the team this season. Her offensive IQ and ability to read defence have allowed her to generate turnovers and create scoring opportunities, resulting in her finishing as the team’s and grade’s leading scorer. Myla has consistently responded well to responsibility and remained composed under pressure, particularly in close games. Her ability to make smart decisions and lead the team through challenging moments has played an important role in the team’s success this season."

Best Team Player – Alana Huynh
"Alana has been an anchor for the team this season. Her dedication to both the game and her teammates has made her a reliable and valued player for her coach and teammates. Alana’s willingness to not only play, but to learn and understand the game, has allowed her to develop into an adaptable player who makes smart and unpredictable decisions, making her a challenging opponent to play against. Alana consistently shows up for her teammates with unwavering support and is always cheering, encouraging, and bringing her infectious energy both on and off the court."

16.3 Girls

Most Valuable Player – Philippa Bergelin
"Pip is the definition of an MVP – whether you need a defensive stop, an extra ballhandler, a crucial rebound or a timely three, she reliably steps up to fill whatever role is required and gives it everything she has. With her basketball IQ and will to win, Pip was crucial to our season, and will be a huge asset for any team she makes going forward."

Coach's Award – Emily Rowe
"In any given game, Em will play four different positions, grab rebounds she has no business getting, make great decisions and do all the little one-percenters that every team needs, and is someone every teammate can rely on. A natural leader by actions and words, you’re never out of a game while Em is in it, and she was the glue that held the team together."

– Words by Coach Matt Clayton

Whether pushing the pace, creating for others, or locking down the opposition, Bonnie’s relentless energy and leadership made her our Most Valuable Player.
