Camberwell Dragons Under 20 Girls 2023-24 VJBL season award winners and coaches' comments.
20.1 Girls
Coach’s Award: Amelie Atkinson
“Amelie has had a super season. She has changed roles a bit and has shown to be a quick, skilled and smart point guard. Amelie is a very willing passer, who is always looking to get her teammates an easy score. She always gets a defensive match-up and does whatever she can to help her team win. Amelie is an absolute joy to coach and we can't wait to see her continue to grow as a player! Congratulations, Am.” – Coach Danni Fidge.
Best Defensive Player: Mia Demarte
“Mia is always up to the challenge of taking one of the opposition's best players every week. You can see the pride she takes in playing defence and getting those sneaky steals off the guards. Mia always works hard, never gives up and fights until the buzzer goes. We have loved seeing the improvement in Mia's game and can't wait to see her get even better. Congratulations, Mia.” – Coach Danni Fidge.
