Camberwell Dragons 16.2 Boys swept their five games at the weekend to win the Division 1 title at the Southern Peninsula Tournament.
Congratulations to coach Jarrod Whelan and his team, who clinched the championship with an impressive 54-36 win against previously unbeaten Wodonga in Sunday afternoon's grand final at Mornington Secondary College.
Joshua Thomas had a team-high 12 points and William Borrello and William Boothby each added 11 for the Dragons, who secured their place in the final with wins against Mornington 1, Bulleen 3 and Frankston 2 (twice).
Camberwell had 46 teams in action at the Southern Peninsula Tournament and now turns its attention to the first phase of VJBL grading, which opens across the Melbourne metropolitan area and country Victoria on Friday night.
