Exciting times for Camberwell Dragons today, with Sophie Richardson, from our 16.1 Girls, and Max Pavey (16.1 Boys) in action for Victoria at the prestigious East Coast Challenge tournament in Penrith, New South Wales.

Both players were named on Under 16 squads for the three-day event, which was originally set up by Basketball Victoria and Basketball New South Wales for metropolitan athletes in Under 16 and Under 18 age groups to compete in a round robin-style tournament in Sydney.

Competition begins at Penrith Valley Regional Sports Centre today and continues until Friday. We'll have updates here and on our social media platforms throughout the week.

From all at Camberwell, best of luck to Max and Sophie as they step out with the Vics today.

The East Coast Challenge marks the beginning of a busy few weeks for Camberwell athletes, with nine Dragons selected to compete at next week's Southern Cross Challenge (SCC) in Melbourne.

We'll have more on that event later in the week.
