Camberwell Dragons are proud to be among the three finalists for the City of Boroondara's Innovative Club of the Year Award.

Nominations for the award closed last month and the winning club will be announced at the Boroondara Sports Awards on August 12.

It has been a busy and rewarding year in the community for the Camberwell Basketball program, with our off-court initiatives through the first half of 2026 including our inaugural Mental Health Awareness Week (April 26-May 2). That work was acknowledged by the Member for Hawthorn, John Pesutto, in a recent statement to Parliament. To hear what Mr Pesutto had to say, click HERE.

Your Dragons were also out and about in the community last week, with Big V Women's team star Eleni Valos invited to speak to a group of Year 10 and 11 students at Canterbury Girls' Secondary College.

Eleni covered a range of topics in her presentation, including her exciting new role as Head of AFLW at Carlton Football Club, her journey into sports management, her love of sports, and her time with the Camberwell Dragons, before wrapping things up with an on-court basketball session for the students.

Camberwell Basketball and the Dragons thank CGSC staff and students for hosting Eleni and their continued support of our program.
