Camberwell Dragons announced today that Mark Jeffers won’t return as head coach of the club’s Championship Men’s team for the 2025 Big V season.
Jeffers stepped down after one season in charge of the senior Dragons to spend more time with his young family and will continue his work as Competition and Programs Manager at Camberwell Basketball.
“I enjoyed the opportunity to coach the Dragons senior men’s team again and am confident there is good times ahead for this group,” Jeffers said today. “Thank you to the players and my assistant coaches for their efforts throughout the season, and to the club and Camberwell fans for their support.
“I look forward to more family time and to continuing in my role at Camberwell Basketball. Our program is growing quickly and it’s an exciting time to be involved with one of the fastest-growing Associations in Victoria.”
Camberwell Basketball CEO and Basketball Director Ross Wignell thanked Mark for his commitment to the Big V team.
“Mark and his coaching staff worked tirelessly throughout the season to prepare the team for the challenge of Big V Championship play,” he said. “Big V Championship is a strong competition, this Dragons team competed hard and showed real improvement through the back half of the season. Mark has helped lay the foundations for successful times ahead.”
The Dragons will begin the search for Mark’s replacement immediately.
