Our own Sophie Richardson and the Vic Metro team launch their Under 16 National Championships campaign in Bendigo this weekend.
Sophie, from the Camberwell Dragons 16.1 Girls team, and the Vics open their tournament against Western Australia Metro at the Red Energy Arena on Sunday (12pm).
They'll also meet New South Wales Metro, Queensland South, South Australia Country and Australian Capital Territory in Pool play throughout the week, with the top four teams in the pool advancing to the quarter-finals.
South Australia Metro, Queensland North, Victoria Country, Tasmania, New South Wales Country, Western Australia Country and Northern Territory are on the other side of the draw (Pool A).
The national championship game will be played next Sunday (July 14).
