Camberwell In Business is delighted to confirm Australian basketball legend, three-time Olympian and recent Naismith Hall of Fame inductee Michele Timms will be the guest speaker at its next dinner and networking event – Wednesday, March 19, 2025.

One of only three Australians (with Lauren Jackson and Lindsay Gaze) in the Naismith Hall of Fame, Michele was one of the most revered athletes of her era at home and overseas, and a leader of the Australian Opals teams that achieved great things internationally.

A product of Melbourne's eastern suburbs, she remained in the game as a coach after her retirement as a player, working with professional teams in the United States, Australia and Europe, and the Australian and Chinese women's national teams. She is still heavily involved in the sport today as the owner and head coach of the Michele Timms Basketball Academy.

Michele will talk about an extraordinary basketball journey that saw her play with and alongside some of the greatest ever to play the game during stops with multiple club teams in Australia and Europe and in the WNBA with Phoenix Mercury, and share her thoughts about traits of high-functioning teams, qualities of great leaders and so much more.

This dinner and networking event at Pincho Disco, 59 Cambridge Street, Collingwood, will be free for Camberwell In Business members. A limited number of tickets for non-members will go on sale early in January.
