Great news to wake up to today, with Dragons Max Pavey and Sophie Richardson selected to play for Victoria at January's East Coast Challenge in Penrith, New South Wales.

Max, from our 16.1 Boys, was named on the Under 16 Mens Squad, and Sophie, from our 16.1 Girls, will represent the 20-player Under 16 Womens Squad at the three-day event. The ECC opens at Penrith Valley Regional Sports Centre on January 10.

The Challenge is a concept originally set up by Basketball Victoria and Basketball New South Wales for metropolitan athletes in the Under 16 and Under 18 age groups to compete in a round robin-style tournament in Sydney.

On behalf of all at Camberwell, congratulations to both players on their selection.
