CDBA Update

Camberwell District Basketball Association (CDBA) announced today that ST Tan was elected to succeed outgoing President Matt Bubb at this week’s CDBA Annual General Meeting (Sunday, November 24).

ST thanked Matt for “his leadership and service” in guiding the CDBA during a period of tremendous growth and challenges over the past five years and said: “I am thrilled and grateful for the opportunity to take on this role and will look to leverage the strong foundation that Matt has put in place.

“I look forward to working with everyone to continue to deliver an exceptional basketball program and experience within our community.”

ST has been a member of the CDBA for more than seven years and served as Treasurer on the Association’s Executive Committee in 2023-24.

Matt stepped down at the AGM and said it had been “an immense privilege” to have served as President of the Association since 2019.

“I truly believe that we are building a very successful basketball program and active community group here at Camberwell Basketball, and it has been exciting to be involved,” he said.

“My challenge to all of our members is to step forward, step up, and get involved. This is your association, and, speaking from my own experience, the more you put in the more you get in return.

“I wish the new President and incoming committee great success, I’m sure they will do an outstanding job with the support of the membership”.

CDBA also announced its elected committee today, with ST Tan joined by Vice President Craig Shearer, Treasurer Sarah Liao (Acting), Secretary Rachel Jeffers and general committee members Amanda Bailey, Mark Sowden and Brent Lomer.
